This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled in connection with the Giesa Core website, the GCDeck application, optional TestFlight testing, technical support and the GCDeck add-on for Blender.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Michał Giesa, 80A Opolska Street, 46-050 Walidrogi, Poland. Contact for all matters, including privacy requests:[email protected]. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed.
2. GCDeck and locally processed data
GCDeck does not require an account. The current production version contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party crash reporting or Giesa Core cloud backend. For the purposes of Apple App Privacy disclosures, Giesa Core does not collect data from the current production version of GCDeck.
Device identifiers, pairing credentials, settings, profiles, macros, screen configurations and thumbnail caches may be stored on the user’s iPhone or computer. Scene, object, collection and asset names, timeline and render state, thumbnails, commands and command results are exchanged directly between GCDeck and the Blender add-on on the selected local network. Giesa Core cannot access this information unless the user voluntarily includes it in a support request.
Giesa Core does not sell personal data and does not use GCDeck data for advertising, marketing profiling or tracking users across apps or websites.
3. iPhone permissions
- Local Network: discovering Blender and connecting directly to the add-on.
- Camera: optionally scanning a QR code during pairing.
- Notifications: optional render-status and completion alerts.
- Live Activities: optionally presenting current render status.
4. On-device storage and retention
App credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. Other GCDeck information on the iPhone remains until the relevant profile is deleted, app data is reset or the app is uninstalled, depending on the information and the user’s action.
The add-on may separately store server configuration and paired-device information in the Blender configuration directory on the computer. Uninstalling the iPhone app does not delete those files. They remain until the user removes them, clears the add-on configuration or deletes the corresponding Blender data.
5. Local-network security
GCDeck connections are authenticated, but the TCP transport is not encrypted with TLS. Use GCDeck only on a trusted local network and do not expose the add-on port to the public internet. The user is responsible for the security of their network, computer and firewall configuration.
6. Website and Cloudflare Pages
The website is currently hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request times and URLs, basic browser information, and technical or security data needed to deliver, protect and diagnose the website. Giesa Core relies on its legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information is retained only as long as necessary for those purposes and according to the provider’s configured retention periods.
The website does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or marketing cookies. Cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate visits, page views, referrers, approximate country, device type, browser, operating system and website performance. Giesa Core does not use this service to identify individuals or track them across websites. LocalStorage is used only to remember the selected site theme under the keygiesa-theme. This preference remains in the user’s browser and is not sent to Giesa Core.
7. Apple App Store and TestFlight
Apple independently processes information connected with the Apple App Store, app downloads, purchases handled by Apple and TestFlight under its own policies and legal role. Giesa Core does not control information independently processed by Apple. An optional TestFlight build may provide Giesa Core with information Apple makes available to developers or feedback voluntarily submitted by a tester.
8. Contact and technical support
When contacting [email protected], a user may provide an email address, iPhone model, GCDeck, iOS, Blender, add-on and desktop-system versions, firewall details, a problem description, reproduction steps and voluntary logs. Do not send passwords, pairing secrets, private .blend files or information unrelated to the request.
This information is used to respond, diagnose issues and improve security on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, depending on the request. Support correspondence and voluntary logs are retained for up to 12 months after the case closes unless longer retention is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The support form sends the same information through a Cloudflare Pages Function and Resend to the support inbox. The function is designed not to write report contents to application logs.
9. Recipients
Cloudflare processes technical information for website hosting and security. Zoho provides email service for the Giesa Core domain and may process support correspondence. Resend delivers submissions from the active support form. Apple independently processes App Store and TestFlight information. Giesa Core does not disclose data to data brokers or advertising networks.
10. Transfers outside the EEA
Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Required transfers use mechanisms permitted by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your rights
Where provided by the GDPR, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, object to processing and withdraw consent. Requests may be sent to[email protected]. Users may also lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office:uodo.gov.pl.
12. Minors
GCDeck is intended for adults. A younger user may use the product with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when GCDeck features, providers, data scope or processing practices change. The revision date is shown at the beginning of the document.
